The LSU Tigers are looking to move to 1-1 this Saturday night against Nicholls State in a first-time matchup. They will be doing so without wide receiver Chris Hilton, who is set to miss his second consecutive game per head coach Brian Kelly .

Hilton missed the week one game against USC due to the same ankle injury. That allowed Kyren Lacy to step up and show that he is the next great LSU wide receiver. C.J. Daniels also showed he can be a major contributor coming in from Liberty this offseason.

Missing the game against Nicholls State isn't a big deal in a vacuum. The real issue comes from other receivers stepping up in a major way. That could end up pushing Hilton down the depth chart due to no fault of his own. Aaron Anderson played well on Saturday night and could end up taking over his spot on the depth chart.

The Tigers could use him going into their week three game against South Carolina on the road.
