The Kansas City Chiefs drafting wide receiver Xavier Worthy is going to be the nightmare for the rest of the NFL that people feared it would be.

Worthy scored a touchdown on the first touch of his career , an end-around carry that went for a 21-yard score. His speed was on full display on the play, which caught the eye of Pro Bowl receiver and former Chief Tyreek Hill.

It didn't stop there for Worthy. On just his third touch, he smoked a Baltimore Ravens defensive back off the line of scrimmage and caught a wide open 35-yard touchdown pass. Yes, it was partially due to a blown coverage by the Ravens' secondary, but Worthy once again showed that he will make defenses pay with his speed if they make a mistake.

Worthy finished the game with three touches for 68 yards and two touchdowns. It turns out that it was a historic performance, as Worthy is the first player to ever score a rushing and receiving touchdown of 20 or more yards, per senior NFL researcher Tony Holzman-Escareno.

Worthy is certainly on every one of the Chiefs' opposing defenses radar. Not only will he make several big plays, but he will open things up for other pass catchers. When injured receiver Hollywood Brown returns, he and Worthy will make for a dynamic duo.

The middle of the field is going to be open for guys like Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce to do their thing. Worthy will also eventually make an impact as a kickoff and punt returner. There is still so much that he can do within the short passing game as well, such as screens, slants and crossing routes.
