Lee Corso, arguably the most beloved College GameDay analyst that's ever appeared on the show, made a prediction for the 2024 college football season that's going to break a lot of hearts.

On Saturday morning in Ann Arbor, Corso predicted that not a single college football team will go undefeated in 2024.

"In my opinion, there are more tight games than ever before in college football," said Corso. "The reason is non-conference scheduling. Big games like this one (Texas vs Michigan)."

" I predict that there will be no college football team undefeated this year. None, " added Corso.

Since 2018, there have been five undefeated national champions. The only season that didn't feature an undefeated national champion was in 2021 when Georgia won the natty with a 14-1 record.

There are plenty of teams in 2024 that are hoping to go undefeated -- Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, etc.

Corso, however, doesn't see it happening in 2024.

And that's probably not a bad call from Corso. The NIL era combined with the NCAA transfer portal has brought a level of parity to the sport that hasn't been seen in a long time. Throw in the 12-team College Football Playoff and it feels like the sport is as wide open as ever.

We'll look back on Corso's prediction in January to see just how right the legendary college football figure was in early September.
