Minnesota Vikings inactives highlighted by preseason rookie standouts

The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the New York Giants at noon CST on Sunday, September 8th. It's the first game of the 2024 season and 46 players will dress for the game. Only 46 players will dress for the game and the following players are inactive for Sunday's game.

On Saturday afternoon, the Vikings elevated safety Bobby McCain and running back Myles Gaskin from the practice squad. It was a sign that multiple defensive backs might sit out.

The real intrigue here is only four defensive linemen are going to dress for the Vikings. Expect a lot of three edge rusher packages and continued three safety looks. The new look Vikings are ready for Sunday afternoon.
