Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Ladd McConkey scored his NFL touchdown as a rookie for the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert connected with McConkey 10 yards out for the score, which came on a critical third down in the fourth quarter and sealed the game for LA.

McConkey showed off his incredibly quick feet and embarrassed two Raiders defenders along the way as he juked both of them to get in the blue paint.

That's the first of many scores for McConkey, who finished the day leading all receivers with five catches for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 22-10 win over Vegas.

The Chargers traded up four spots with the New England Patriots in the second round to select McConkey with the 34th overall pick.

McConkey was projected to go in the first round but ultimately slid down due to a back issue , per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Chatsworth, Georgia native made the jump to the NFL after logging 26 catches for 418 yards and a touchdown in 2023. However, his best year came during Georgia's 2022 national championship run when he achieved 58 catches for 762 yards with seven touchdowns. He also added 134 yards and two more scores on the ground.

In total, McConkey reeled in 119 receptions for 1,687 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns through 29 games for the Bulldogs all while often being overshadowed by Raiders' first-round draft pick Brock Bowers .
