New Orleans Saints defensive back Alontae Taylor, a former Tennessee Vols standout, dropped a reference to Neyland Stadium on Sunday while discussing his team's blowout win against the Carolina Panthers.

Taylor was asked by a reporter what it's like when the crowd is amped and a game turns into a rout.

"You want that, right? I think at Tennessee I kinda had that feeling a couple of times in Neyland," said Taylor. "Having that in New Orleans and having it at home for the Week 1 game, it's exciting. And I think that we got the city kinda rolling with us right now."

Taylor, a second round selection by the Saints in the 2022 NFL Draft, played at Tennessee from 2018 to 2021. He's a beloved former Vol thanks in large part to his decision to stick around at Tennessee in 2021 after Jeremy Pruitt and his staff were fired.

The former Vol had a huge game in Week 1 for the Saints, totaling a career-high three sacks in the 47-10 win against the Panthers.

Taylor also had six total tackles and a pass defensed.

Taylor will look to build on his quick start to the 2024 season in a huge Week 2 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.
