The Minnesota Vikings came out of Sunday's 28-6 win over the New York Giants relatively healthy, but there was one injury that stings. Wide receiver Jordan Addison injured his ankle on Sunday afternoon, but it was the right ankle after having his left ankle injured in joint practices with the Cleveland Browns.

O'Connell spoke to the media on Monday afternoon and gave an update on Addison's injury status.

"He's (Addison) got pretty significant soreness, getting some treatment today, and we'll kind of see how it goes. He's responded in the past pretty quickly with a similar injury, so we'll just see. And I'll try to keep you guys updated based upon the week, but still hopeful that you know, Jordan (Addison) will have a chance this week, but we'll be smart with him, knowing it's a long season, how important he is to our offense."

Addison is a very important part to the Vikings offense, especially as a complement to Justin Jefferson. This is a big part of why the Vikings offense was as lethal on Sunday. He is a perfect complement to Jefferson and is even more important when you don't have T.J. Hockenson for the next few weeks.

Addison did torch the San Francisco 49ers for seven receptions, 123 yards and two touchdowns last season and that was without Jefferson on the field. Not having him this upcoming Sunday could be a devastating loss.
