The first injury report of the week is out following Monday's walk thru practice, and there's a lot to get into.

With a short week in front of them, there won't be much time for injuries to heal up before squaring off with the Miami Dolphins in Miami on Thursday Night Football.

    Good injury news

The good news is that Josh Allen, who injured his left hand leaping for a highlight reel touchdown in the fourth quarter that saw him hurdle Budda Baker, was an estimated full participant. Sean McDermott said before practice that he's been cleared to practice, and will play on Thursday .

Running back Ty Johnson and defensive end Javon Solomon were able to get in limited practices, while tight end Quintin Morris and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky were recorded as full participants.

    Bad injury news

This is where it's not pretty. Cornerback Taron Johnson, who injured his forearm during the Week 1 matchup, did not return to the game and has already been ruled out.

"[Taron Johnson] obviously did not return for the game or in the game, and he'll be ruled out for this week," McDermott said.

He later clarified that they still aren't sure of the significance of the injury and what the timeline will be for Johnson to return.

Defensive end Dawuane Smoot was also listed as a Did Not Participate on the first injury report of the week, along with rookie defense end Javon Solomon being listed as a limited participant raises serious questions about the pass rush going into Thursday.

We'll see if Buffalo is able to make some progress and get right heading into Week 2, but plenty of adjustments will be made with Johnson not slated to return before squaring off with Miami.

    Miami Dolphins injury report

Miami isn't much healthier than the Bills are. Their running back in particular has taken a couple hits, with De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert both starting the week with a "Did Not Participate."

Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey was a limited participant with a hamstring injury, and Miami currently has Bradley Chubb, Cam Goode, and Isaiah Wynn on Injured Reserve.

Miami got out to a slow start against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but as is always the case, they have the speed and explosive play ability to strike at any time. We'll see if their running back room has a chance to get healthier before Thursday.
