The Buffalo Bills know they have a tough task every time they square off with the Miami Dolphins. The defense in particular is going to have to contain an offense that has more speed than any other team in the league. Head coach Sean McDermott clearly knows it'll be a test.

"Those guys are great players, those two receivers, I mean, they're unique in their skill set, extremely fast, great receivers, future Hall of Famers. I mean, that's tough to go against," McDermott said of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

The talent and the speed doesn't stop with just Hill and Waddle, however.

"Well, I think their whole offense is a challenge led by [Tagovailoa], and I think Mike McDaniels does a phenomenal job, not just as a head coach, but also as an offensive play caller and designer of plays. So, I mean, they've got tremendous speed. It's unlike anything I've ever seen, and not just this year, but in years past. So they're tremendously talented and fast. And I mean, you saw the game the other the other day. If you don't get near them, they're gone, right? Even when you get near them, they pull away." McDermott continued.

Hill and Waddle are lightning in a bottle, and their scheme is incredibly difficult and stretches the abilities, athleticism, and discipline of every defense they go against.

Linebacker Terrel Bernard also spoke with the media today about how Buffalo can slow down the Miami attack.

"I think the scheme that we're putting, formation awareness, personnel awareness, where their guys are, you know, who they want to get the ball to, and where they're lined up and, really how they're trying to get them to ball. I think as long as we go into the game understanding that aspect of it, we can put a roof over it. We can get everybody to the ball and make them drive the length of the field, as opposed to creating big plays," Bernard said.

Miami lives and dies by the big play, and the speed that their weapons posses gives them the threat of being able turn the simplest of play into a game-breaking touchdown. Buffalo will have to play sound defense and keep everything in front of them to slow them down. It will be a huge test for a defense that is dealing with injuries and new faces at key positions .

"We have rules, and we have our scheme, so whatever they come out in, we'll be prepared, and we'll go out there to play our best game," Bernard continued.

    That's all anyone can do.
