For all the football sickos out there, it’s never too early to give attention to your favorite team’s future. Even after one week, you can start to get a feel for the weak spots on the roster. What better than another early 2025 NFL mock draft?

For argument's sake, I don’t hate your favorite team. The order was generated by NFL Mock Draft Database, or however they come up with their order. Let’s, instead, open our minds to some team needs and get to know some early favorites in the 2025 NFL Draft .

Let’s have some fun. Let’s build some great rosters.

    1. Cincinnati Bengals : James Pearce Jr. , EDGE, Tennessee

The Bengals drafted at No. 1 overall isn’t the best situation. If trades were included, you can bet there would be a move back in the works. If stuck there, you can never have enough great pass rushers. Pearce has the upside to be an All-Pro player and a double digit sack artist every year.

    2. Washington Commanders : Travis Hunter , ATH, Colorado

You can argue that two of the Commander's biggest needs are at cornerback and wide receiver next April, at least for now. Hunter brings the upside to become a tremendous player at either spot, although I like him best on defense. Draft the elite athlete and figure it out later.

    3. Las Vegas Raiders : Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

The tandem of Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell is nothing more than a stop gap situation for the Raiders. They have a chance to get their future under center, and have the pick from the litter. Beck is a clean pocket passer at 6-4 and 220 pounds, and should allow the talented pass catchers to begin to reach their potential.

    4. Cleveland Browns : Luther Burden , WR, Missouri

Deshaun Watson is a major issue at quarterback, but the money still makes moving on very tricky. We will see if the latest legal issue will change that. Strengthening the wide receiver position, especially with Amari beginning to diminish and a void year on the horizon, seems like a sound investment. Burden is dynamic in space and brings a lot of upside to the space game. He’s lighting in a bottle.

    5. Denver Broncos : Mason Graham , IDL, Michigan

The Broncos need to get better everyone on this roster, and that includes on the defensive line. Graham is an immediate upgrade, bringing tremendous feet, hands, and power. The Michigan standout is one of the easier evaluations in the class.

    6. Carolina Panthers : Will Johnson , CB, Michigan

Carolina is hoping to get a fully healthy season out of Jayce Horn, who is still a tremendous talent. Figuring out the other starting cornerback spot up to par should be a priority. Johnson is long, incredibly smart, and can change direction at a rare level for his size. This is another easy evaluation.

    7. New York Giants : Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Calling Daniel Jones bad seems like too much of a compliment. He has been absolutely terrible since getting that huge extension before last season. Sanders has some areas of concern, but he still is a very accurate and confident passer. If you protect him well, he has a chance to be tremendous.

    8. Baltimore Ravens : Kelvin Banks , OT, Texas

Ronnie Stanley seems like he’s in his last life in Baltimore, while the right tackle spot is also a major question. Banks feels like the perfect Raven offensive tackle. He is long, strong, and powerful. Banks does his best work by making his presence felt with his heavy hands and powerful lower body.

    9. Tennessee Titans : Nic Scourton , EDGE, Texas A&M

Scourton is not the perfect fit into the Titans defense, but he’s just too good to pass up. He is a tremendous combination of size, power, and nuance. His spin move is killer, and nobody seems to be able to stop it. Combining Scourton with Jeffery Simmons and Harold Landry is a scary group of talent up front,

    10. Jacksonville Jaguars : Will Campbell , OT, LSU

Cam Robinson is on the way out, which means there's a hole at left tackle that needs an answer. While Campbell might not be the most dynamic player of all time, he’s just so consistent. It might not always be perfect but Campbell is just going to win more reps than he loses.

    11. Indianapolis Colts : Malaki Starks , S, Georgia

There’s a legitimate argument that Starks could be the top overall player in the 2025 class. Blessed with outstanding size, range, and ball skills, Starks is one of the best safeties to come out in several years. He can create a lot of big plays on the back end, with even more upside to tap into.

    12. Arizona Cardinals : Mykel Williams , EDGE, Georgia

When you talk about raw traits and upside, there aren’t many better than Williams. At 6-5 and 265 pounds, he is long, explosive and powerful. Williams just hasn’t put it all together yet. The Cardinals need to upgrade their talent on the edges, and Williams certainly does that.

    13. Atlanta Falcons : Isaiah Bond , WR, Texas

Outside of Drake London, Atlanta still needs to upgrade the wide receiver unit. They more specifically need to get faster, and that’s what Bond brings. The former Alabama wideout also isn’t just a speed threat. He has route running upside, and also isn’t afraid to finish through contact.

    14. Green Bay Packers : Benjamin Morrison , CB, Notre Dame

From a coverage upside perspective, there may not be any better than Morrison. He is quick, and incredibly intelligent. Over the last two years, Morrison has done an incredible job to shut down some of the top wide receivers in college football, including Marvin Harrison Jr.

    15. Los Angeles Rams : Cameron Ward, QB, Miami

It won’t be long until Matt Stafford’s body begins to break down. Until then, he could be a great mentor for Ward. The former Incarnate Word, Washington State, and Miami passer might have the biggest highs of anyone in the class.

    16. New York Jets : Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Garrett Wilson is an awesome pass game weapon to build around. There has been a massive hole at tight end for a long time for the Jets. Loveland could fill that void very quickly. The Michigan product is a very good athlete who makes everything look easy. He’s a clean route runner that creates some easy separation.

    17. San Francisco 49ers : Abdul Carter , EDGE, Penn State

Carter’s upside is tremendous, but he still has a lot to learn. There’s nobody better to learn from than Nick Bosa. If some of his nuance can rub off on him, Carter could be special. Betting on traits on the edge is always very smart, and his combination of twitch, closing speed and flexibility are special.

    18. Philadelphia Eagles : Harold Perkins , LB, LSU

Yes, the Eagles haven’t drafted a linebacker in the first round in almost 50 years, but Perkins might just be too much of a chess piece to pass up. You can blitz Perkins, while also playing him all over the second level. He is also comfortable in coverage. There really is no limit to all the things he can do on the field.

    19. New Orleans Saints : Deone Walker , IDL, Kentucky

From a pure talent perspective, Walker has as much upside as anyone in this class. His pad level and impact in the run game, however, is still a major issue. If he can play with better bend and a little more stamina, Walker is a Pro Bowl player waiting to happen. There is no telling just how good he can become with good development.

    20. Los Angeles Chargers : Tetairoa McMillan , WR, Arizona

Under head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers want to run the football. They still need to be a more balanced attack with quarterback Justin Herbert. Ladd McConkey is a good start but adding impact size is a great proposition. McMillan can assume the role that Mike Williams once did.

    21. Minnesota Vikings : Denzel Burke , CB, Ohio State

Minnesota has seemingly had needs at cornerback for a long time now. Burke not only fills a need, but he also brings a tenacity to the position that is a pleasure to watch. This is a type of tone setting defender that can rub off on the rest of the team. The transformation from the 2022 version of Burke until now has been something to watch.

    22. Miami Dolphins : Tyleik Williams , IDL, Ohio State

Zach Sieler has been a very good player inside for the Dolphins, but he needs a partner in crime. Calais Campbell is a great veteran but he’s nearing the end. Williams has been a monster for Ohio State the last two years. The 6-2.5, 325-pound defensive lineman can move up and down the line of scrimmage, and is an immovable object at the point of attack.

    23. Chicago Bears : Kenneth Grant , IDL, Michigan

The Bears are starting Andrew Billings and Gervon Dexter Sr. inside. That’s… well…. not great. Adding a player like Grant gives you an injection of talent, and size at 6-3 and 339 pounds. Grant might never give you much in terms of pass rush, but good luck moving him at the point of attack. The Great Wall of Michigan could be staying in the Midwest.

    24. New England Patriots : Aireontae Ersery , OT, Minnesota

The patriots are desperate for offensive lineman at this point. They have Michael Onwenu signed for the long term, and that’s a great building block. Getting a player like Ersery, who brings imposing size, foot speed and power, would be a big addition. Whether he sticks at offensive tackle or eventually moves inside to guard, he gives you some added talent you need in that room.

    25. Pittsburgh Steelers : Emeka Egbuka , WR, Ohio State

The wide receiver room for the Steelers is a problem. Pittsburgh needs players who can create separation and make some plays. Egbuka is often forgotten coming off of an injury plagued 2023 season, but his smoothness, explosiveness and ability after the catch gives him big upside in the slot. He’s the immediate separator this team needs.

    26. Seattle Seahawks : Emery Jones Jr. , OL, LSU

The long term outlook at right tackle for the Seahawks is in a bad spot. There are some questions about whether Jones can hold up at right tackle, and they are legitimate. If he doesn’t flourish in the beginning outside, Jones does have upside inside at guard. He is a dense and powerful offensive lineman who creates a lot of movement at the point of attack.

    27. Dallas Cowboys : Ashton Jeanty , RB, Boise State

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the weaker running back rooms in the entire league right now, still trotting out Ezekiel Elliot as their starting running back. They will need to upgrade that position, and that’s what Jeanty brings to the table. He has tremendous contact balance and vision, while also possessing big upside in the passing game.

    28. Kansas City Chiefs : Shavon Revel , CB, ECU

Losing L’Jarius Sneed was a tough blow for the Chiefs this offseason. They still have Trent McDuffie, who is awesome. Getting him a counterpart on the other side would be big. Revel feels like the archetype that Kansas City tends to gravitate toward. His ball skills, length and overall authorizing is a sight to see.

    29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers : Maxwell Hairston , CB, Kentucky

Cornerback is potentially a massive need for the Buccaneers next offseason. Hairston is a talented cover man with impressive ball skills, as well as short area movement skills. Not enough people are talking about Hairston. He certainly has a place near the top of the cornerback rankings.

    30. Houston Texans : Dontay Corleone , IDL, Cincinnati

The interior defensive line could be massively upgraded in Houston. Corleone, who dealt with an issue with blood clots this season, is too often forgotten in the 2025 class. At 6-1 and 320 pounds, the Cincinnati star is a tremendous prospect. He plays close to the ground, has impressive power and good movement skills.

    31. Detroit Lions : Jonah Savaiinaea , IOL, Arizona

It’s very possible that Savaiinaea goes much higher than this next April. Kevin Zeitler’s contract runs out this offseason, and I’m dreaming of pairing Savaiinaea next to Penei Sewell. Continuing to strengthen arguably the top offensive line in the NFL is a great proposition. Savaiinaea has Pro Bowl upside if he develops properly.

    32. Buffalo Bills : Tacario Davis , CB, Arizona

Wide receiver is yet again a need, but the board leaves a little be desired here. Instead, they strengthen arguably the biggest need on the roster. Listed at 6-4 and 190 pounds, Davis is a rare combination of height, length and overall athleticism. He could immediately become the top cornerback on the Bills roster.
