Former Tennessee Vols WR Jalin Hyatt makes strong statement about Giants QB Daniel Jones

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones returned to action this past weekend after missing 11 games last last season with a neck injury and a torn ACL.

Unfortunately for Jones, he had a tough time in Week 1, passing for just 186 yards while also throwing two interceptions.

On Wednesday, Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, a former Tennessee Vols standout, was asked about his thoughts on Jones.

Hyatt quickly made it known that he and his teammates are confident in Jones' ability to bounce back.

"We all have full belief and faith in DJ," said Hyatt. "I'm not worried about him at all. It's one week, we all forget that he's coming off an ACL. This was his first time really in action (after the injury) and seeing it at that speed. We have full faith in him. He'll get better and we'll get better for him."

Hyatt makes a good point. There were a lot of hot takes about Jones' performance after the Giants' loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. But it was his first game back after missing the majority of last season.

It takes some time to find your groove after missing so much time due to injury. Jones obviously has areas where he needs to improve, but it would be silly to think that he's incapable of making those improvements.
