Michigan Wolverines Dominate the First Round In Latest A to Z Sports 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft saw Michigan produce the most NFL draft picks of any school in the country. The Wolverines had 13 players drafted-not quite the most ever in one draft but still the clear leader in 2024.

Their 2025 NFL Draft haul might not quite hit that same tally, but they have a strong class at the top that could see them with multiple first-round picks.

In A to Z Sports's latest mock draft , the Wolverines have four first-round selections, with two in the top-ten picks. No other team had more than three (Georgia, Ohio State, Arizona). Let's dig in.

#5: Denver Broncos: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

"The Broncos need to get better everyone on this roster, and that includes on the defensive line. Graham is an immediate upgrade, bringing tremendous feet, hands, and power. The Michigan standout is one of the easier evaluations in the class."

Graham is easily one of the best players in this upcoming draft, so it's not a surprise to see him go this high.

He's a fit and would solve a need for the Broncos, whose defensive line had just five pressures against Seattle's poor interior offensive line. They're a unit built to stop the run, but are rather one-dimensional and don't produce a lot of pass-rush ability. Graham would shift that dynamic instantly.

#6: Carolina Panthers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

"Carolina is hoping to get a fully healthy season out of Jayce[e] Horn, who is still a tremendous talent. Figuring out the other starting cornerback spot up to par should be a priority. Johnson is long, incredibly smart, and can change direction at a rare level for his size. This is another easy evaluation."

After what we all saw against New Orleans in Week 1, Carolina needs all the help in the secondary it can get. Johnson would be their best cornerback the moment he steps onto the field.

The Panthers need blue-chip talent everywhere on that roster. Nabbing arguably the best player and cornerback in the class would be a smart addition.

#16: New York Jets: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

"Garrett Wilson is an awesome pass game weapon to build around. There has been a massive hole at tight end for a long time for the Jets. Loveland could fill that void very quickly. The Michigan product is a very good athlete who makes everything look easy. He’s a clean route runner that creates some easy separation."

Loveland is far and away Michigan's best offensive player and is a near lock to be the first tight end selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. He's an easy athlete who offers terrific upside as a receiver, though admittedly his blocking is still a work in progress. He's fifth in Michigan history for receiving yards by a tight end and is on pace to break the Wolverines' records for career receptions and receiving yards.

The Jets need a player like that, as Tyler Conklin is set to be a free agent following this season and received just two targets in the Jets' MNF loss to the 49ers.

#23: Chicago Bears: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

"The Bears are starting Andrew Billings and Gervon Dexter Sr. inside. That’s… well…. not great. Adding a player like Grant gives you an injection of talent, and size at 6-3 and 339 pounds. Grant might never give you much in terms of pass rush, but good luck moving him at the point of attack. The Great Wall of Michigan could be staying in the Midwest."

This one is pretty intriguing. Chicago's run defense could use a stout run defender in the middle of their defense to help keep their linebackers clean. Gervon Dexter is a good player but is a much better pass rusher than a run defender.

Adding Grant into that group up front would be the next key cog for the Bears' defense to become one of the league's best defenses under head coach Matt Eberflus.
