Philadelphia Eagles fans are hard to please, especially after losing longtime center Jason Kelce to retirement .

That means all eyes are on Cam Jurgens this season and fans counting on him to live up to the future Hall of Fame center.

Jurgens had his first start at center in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, and while it wasn't perfect, Philly still walked away with a 34-29 win and totaled 410 yards on offense.

That win wouldn't have been possible without a decent performance from the former second-round pick out of Nebraska.

Does this mean that Jurgens can be the next Jason Kelce? The simple answer is no. But that doesn't mean he can't be just as great.

Kelce joined 94WIP this week where he spoke out on those trying to compare him and Jurgens.

"He's going to continually get compared to me, which I don't think is fair for him," Kelce said. "And then eventually when everybody realizes he's fantastic and a great player, I'll have to live with the fact that there's a guy that's better than me."

Without Kelce holding it down, the Eagles offensive line ended the week ranked second in pass blocking with a Pro Football Focus grade of 87.6 and fourth in run blocking with a 75.5 PFF grade. Overall, the Eagles' offensive line finished Week 1 ranked second among all 32 teams.

Those numbers show a very promising start for Jurgens as the team's new center -- even if he can't be the next Kelce.

Cam Jurgens played great. We didn’t miss Kelce at all.
