It was a night to remember for Buffalo Bills cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram.

The team put on a defensive masterclass against a strong Dolphins team, who came up with huge stops at crucial moments to prevent Miami from scoring.

And for Ingram, he had a career night, cementing himself in the Bills record book.

The cornerback started the game strong, intercepting Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the opening drive. His efforts set up Josh Allen and the offense to get seven points on the board first.

And then in the third quarter, he did it once again, intercepting Tagovailoa and taking it to the house for a pick-six.

Ingram's two touchdowns in a road game made him the first player to do so since Jordan Poyer in 2022 against the Ravens. And then his first career pick six was the first time a Bills player had an interception touchdown in Miami since Preston Brown in Week 3 of 2015. ( Per Bills PR )

Ingram is also the first University of Buffalo player to have two interceptions in an NFL game.

But what makes this night truly special is his path in the NFL.

Ingram signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 Draft. He was mainly on the practice squad for his first two years, being elevated five times.

In 2024, he came into the preseason determined and earned a spot on the Bills 53-man roster. It's safe to say after this game, the Bills certainly made the right choice.

They saw something special in Ingram and are reaping the benefits now.
