Reggie Wayne doesn't think Peyton Manning could have made the play Anthony Richardson did during the Colts season opener

While the Indianapolis Colts started the season with yet another Week 1 loss , they saw their young quarterback, Anthony Richardson, make some elite throws.

Including his 60-yard bomb to Alec Pierce, which many have called the best throw they've ever seen in an NFL game.

Colts legend and current wide receivers coach Reggie Wayne was asked if he has ever seen throw travel that far in a game he played in, and he has an interesting comment.

Wayne not only shared that he hadn't seen a throw travel that far, but he also chose to include that his Hall of Fame QB, Peyton Manning, "couldn't throw that far."

Wayne got to see QB greatness up close by starting his career with Manning under center and ending his career with a young Andrew Luck. The fact that he isn't just talking about Manning and Luck as an observer but as someone who got to play with both makes his words mean a little more than the average person's in this case.

I think his play meant a little more for Wayne as he got to see a WR who's been scrutinized by fans on the receiving end of it. You can tell Wayne is pretty pumped up to have a QB capable of utilizing his WR's skill sets via some of the comments he had after Pierce's big game.
