The Minnesota Vikings beat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 23-17 in arguably the biggest upset of the week two early slate .

It was an impressive performance from quarterback Sam Darnold who led a tremendous final drive that lasted 14 plays and 6:36 in game time to set up the Will Reichard field goal that put the game out of reach at two scores.

Sam Darnold is better than Kirk Cousins in this area

With the win, the Vikings moved to 2-0 on the season. It's also the first time that the Vikings have been 2-0 since the 2016 season when Shaun Hill and Sam Bradford combined to help the Vikings start 5-0. It's also something that didn't happen with Kirk Cousins at the helm.

What's even more remarkable is the current Atlanta Falcons quarterback has never accomplished the feat, while this is the second time that Darnold has done so, as he started 3-0 in 2021 with the Carolina Panthers.

The era of Kirk Cousins is over and it's proving to be a good thing for the franchise.

Well people, let’s relax and watch Kirko play a prime time game tonight. Is the curse true? Will he quiet the critics? Will the existing pattern of prime time failures continue? Let’s enjoy this week:)

I glad Sam Donald is having some succes.. But they drafted McCarthy he's their future. Sam's play , if good, will help resurrect his career up to this point that hasn't gone well.
