Ohio State is going to get a boost on Saturday when they take on Marshall in the form of getting an NFL-caliber player back on the football field.

When the Buckeyes host the Thundering Herd on Saturday at noon ET, they will have as healthy of an offensive line as they’ve had in this youngest season.

After missing his first two games of his senior season, left guard Donovan Jackson will be back out there starting for Ohio State on Saturday.

"Yeah, he's ready to roll. He'll be ready to go for Saturday,” head coach Ryan Day said on Tuesday .

Jackson has played a ton of football, 39 games to be exact over the last three years. The former high-profile recruit started 26 games in a row at left guard before missing time to start this season.

Having Jackson back gives the Buckeyes a fully healthy offensive line and that is key heading into Big Ten play after the game with Marshall. Day pointed out that adding Jackson back to the field is key with a veteran center like Seth McLaughlin already in there as well.

“I just think this soldieries everything up front.”

Jackson is a 6-foot-4, 320-pound blocker that can operate well in both the pass and run game. His ability to be a physical blocker at the point of attack is going to be fun to watch with TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins running behind him.

Day said that the Buckeyes will still look to get Austin Siereveld playing time because he has earned it filling in. This could come as a sixth offensive lineman on some plays, or filling in to give Jackson or Tegra Tshabola a breather.

The Buckeyes are just about fully healthy and with what should be a 3-0 start for Big Ten play after Saturday, that is perfect news for Ryan Day and co.
