The Miami Dolphins' worst fear came to light in Week 2 during Thursday Night Football. Tua Tagovailoa suffered yet another concussion after a hard hit on a first-down scamper.

There have been plenty of discussions about his return (or lack thereof) since the injury. Miami made a decision on Tuesday that gives a glimpse into their near future at the position.

Miami's QB will miss at least four games with a concussion. He is able to return in Week 8 by rule, but the team will not place a timetable for his return to action.

With their starter out, the Dolphins did add former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley to compete for the starting job.

Head coach Mike McDaniel said the coaching staff is comfortable playing Skylar Thompson while Tua can't go, but the addition of Huntley gives them more roster flexibility.

As for Tua, he does not intend to retire as of now, according to Ian Rapoport.

It has been fewer than three full days, but Tua Tagovailoa has already made a long-term decision about his career. According to NFL Network's insider Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins quarterback doesn't intend to retire and will make everything possible to be on the field again as soon as possible. -- Wendell Ferreira

Regardless, this is a notable update for the next month of quarterback play for the Dolphins. Expect a hearty battle between Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley to determine who gets the next start for Miami.
