Notre Dame football fans have been exhausted from the recruiting circus that is the 2025 class right now. Obviously quarterback commit Deuce Knight is the main topic of conversation right now, but before him, elite safety Ivan Taylor was the big source of anxiety. Originally committing in December of last year, Taylor finally made the flip to the Michigan Wolverines on July 8th.

That came off of a three-week stretch, where Taylor visited Alabama , Notre Dame, and Michigan. While the Irish were still viewed in solid standing, there was a weird aura around that recruitment. It wasn’t overly shocking, but disappointing when Taylor did make the move.

Once he was committed to the Wolverines, it felt like things would be over. It appears that isn’t the case, with Taylor set to make a visit to Alabama this weekend for their battle against Georgia . There have been no reports that Taylor is second guessing his commitment to the Wolverines, but obviously continuing to take visits isn’t a great sign.

The son of former Pittsburgh Steeler standout Ike Taylor, the Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange star is an elite safety in the 2025 recruiting class. Taylor is rated as a top 50 overall player in the class by both 247Sports and ESPN. The 6-0, 170-pound playmaker can do a little bit of everything, cover, defend the run, play from depth, and even give you reps in the slot.
