Former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram pointed out a trait this week that he thinks makes the Tennessee Vols a "dangerous" team.

Ingram, who won a Heisman Trophy while playing at Alabama, loved the way Tennessee's players handled Josh Heupel's return to Norman this past weekend.

Heupel never made the game about himself, but Tennessee's players still "gave a little extra" in the Vols' 25-15 win against the Oklahoma Sooners.

"That's what football is all about, that's what this game is all about," said Ingram on The Triple Option . "Because he [didn't] make it about going back to Oklahoma. He made it about his team going in there and handling the business they needed to handle. But the players -- you know your coach. If you want to run through a wall for your coach, you know how much that means. And that's what that showed right there. When you see that going on in a locker room, [Urban Meyer] talked about why they are a true contender and not a pretender. When you see that type of stuff going on in the locker room, that's different. That makes a team dangerous ."

Ingram is right. It's not just that Tennessee has a good scheme and has talented players. It's the fact that the Vols are completely bought into Heupel's vision. They want to play at an elite level on every snap. They want to leave it all on the field. Guys aren't making business decisions when the lights come on. Instead, they're playing for Heupel, they're playing for the T, and they're playing for the names on the back of their jerseys. The Vols are motivated, they're hungry, and they're showing everyone that they're a true national contender.

And like Ingram said, all of that makes a team like Tennessee very dangerous.
