We are set for arguably the biggest game of the college football regular season on Saturday, when the Georgia Bulldogs travel to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide . If you are a football fan, that game is an absolute must to watch.

Along with the fans tuning into the game, that is going to be a huge recruiting weekend. That includes several 2026 recruits that are very much on the Notre Dame radar. It will be interesting to see how the weekend goes from that perspective.

S Bralan Womack - Flowood (Miss.) Hartfield Academy

When Womack was offered by Notre Dame a couple of months ago, momentum was created quickly for the Irish. There was even a crystal ball put in for him after that early push. This isn’t going to be easy for Notre Dame, but they are certainly in the conversation. Both Georgia and Alabama also have grabbed Womack’s attention early.

ATH Jett Washington - Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

Long and athletic, Washington can play basically anywhere he pleases. Notre Dame likes him best at safety, where his length and range are a huge advantage. Washington is a tremendous athlete who doubles as a big time basketball player for Bishop Gorman. It’s no surprise that seemingly everyone in college football are interested in his services.

WR Tristen Keys - Hattiesburg (Miss.) High School

This is a recent addition to the offer list, which is very interesting since 2025 quarterback commit Deuce Knight originally urged the Irish to pursue. A slender built pass catcher, Keys makes a ton of plays down the field. It’s early in this recruitment and time will tell if Notre Dame can build any momentum.

CB Elbert Hill - Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban

There was some great early momentum for Notre Dame, and they are still pursuing Hill. Ohio State feels like the front runner, and they have been for a couple of months. Hill might not be the biggest cornerback in the world, but he’s extremely athletic and physical.

CB Joey O'Brien - Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College

O’Brien is an outstanding football player, and is very high on the Notre Dame program early on. Some schools like O’Brien at cornerback, while others prefer him at safety. No matter where you like O’Brien, he’s a tremendous talent. The Irish are definitely the early front runner.

    S J'Zavien Currence - Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe

A massive safety, there’s a chance that Currence eventually ends up playing on the second level. Coming down hill, he is an especially impressive athlete. The smoothness he brings for his size is pretty eye popping. Notre Dame has had some successes in Rock Hill, South Carolina in the past and will hope for more in 2026.

CB Samari Matthews - Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough

As we have learned, Notre Dame will always have a chance with talented cornerbacks as long as Mike Mickens is coaching the secondary. Matthews seems like a long shot, but the Irish are still maintaining a relationship. There aren’t many more talented cover men in the 2026 recruiting class.

LB Kenneth Goodwin - Harbor City (Calif.) Narbone

Formerly from Las Vegas, Nevada, Goodwin is now a difference maker in the state of California on the defensive side of the football. Goodwin has been to Notre Dame before, and has had a nice opinion of the Irish early in this recruitment. He is a diverse defender who can do a little bit of everything.
