The New York Giants have every right to be upset after a horrible call in the first quarter.

The refs threw the flag and called a facemask against New York. But when watching it back, it was very clear that it was actually against the Cowboys.

In what word does it look like Giants TE Daniel Bellinger grabbed Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown's helmet. Bellinger's head snaps back from impact, which only happens when someone grabs your facemask.

NFL Insider Field Yates said it best.

"Refs make mistakes. It’s a part of the game.

But for a ref to throw a flag for an uncommon penalty (offensive facemask) when Daniel Bellinger clearly did not grab a facemask at all, but clearly did have his own facemask grabbed is just rough.

    1st & 10 inside the 30 to 3rd & 18," he posted on X.

And things didn't look any better for the refs just a few minutes later when the Cowboys charged down the field and got into the end zone.

On the play where Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hit Rico Dowdle on a screen pass for six points, the refs threw a flag. But soon after, referee Clay Martin picked it up and said there was no penalty and the result was a touchdown.

According to Amazon Prime's broadcast, Giants head coach Brian Daboll was pissed.

    And rightfully so!

Warren Sharp, who was very outspoken about the two missed calls (see the videos above), posted some additional information on Clay Martin's history when refereeing games that the Cowboys are playing in.

"this is his 5th Cowboys road game since 2018

Dallas is 4-0 in the other games

opponents have been called for 34 penalties (7 more than DAL) for 298 yds (64 more than DAL)

the timing of these penalties resulted in +11.8 EPA edge for Dallas," Sharp wrote on X.

Let's see if Daboll or any of the players are willing to comment on this after the game.
