Las Vegas Raiders’ recent decision sounds an alarm that no fan wants to hear early in the season

It's Week 4, and, sure, things aren't going great for the Las Vegas Raiders so far, but is it already time to call a player's meeting where everyone gets something off their chest? That's more of the thing you do in Week 8 or nine after a loss to the Chicago Bears last season, and then the head coach gets fired.

That's exactly what the team is already doing.

I get it -- they should have beat the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers, and they should beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. They shouldn't have beaten the Baltimore Ravens, but they showed that they can do the things it takes to win. The issue is, that they have only shown that once this season, in one quarter.

The Raiders, after the embarrassing loss to the Panthers, held a team meeting on Monday. This is where Antonio Pierce talked about the business decisions they made last game. This is where he talked to the players about that, and then they all talked together and discussed some things with one another.

"That meeting was huge because it wasn't just about players, It was about everybody, like the whole building," running back Zamir White said. "Stuff really got personal and we talked about it and learned from it."

This is not a great look on Antonio Pierce because, well, he's supposed to be that coach that the players connect with because he's a players coach. I mean, isn't this what happened last season, too, and he had to come in and fix it and everything was perfect? This isn't a great look, no matter how you spin it.

"It was a conversation that needed to happen, and it was productive because everyone got things off of their mind," Nate Hobbs said.

This is not really what you want to hear from your team three weeks into the season. But, hey, if it works, it works.
