Denver Broncos have an opportunity to let one rookie go crazy vs. New York Jets

The Denver Broncos are set to even their record out at 2-2 on the year. They have to play the New York Jets, who have former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett on their sideline as an offensive coordinator. They have Aaron Rodgers running the show, with some good weapons, and an elite defense.

After a big-time win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a win on the road at Met Life is super doable. But, they will need all of the help they can get. Luckily for them, they are getting one of their rookies and potentially Bo Nix's favorite target.

As the inactives come out, we see that rookie wide receiver and former Oregon Ducks wide receiver, Troy Franklin, is active. That's great news, as he and Nix played together, and it will give Nix another weapon to throw against a great Jets defense. The Jets will primarily be worried about Courtland Sutton, and rightfully so.

This could give the Broncos another option to go to consistently, setting up Franklin to potentially have a big game. But, we will have to see how his snap count will be first.

Here are the Broncos inactives for Sunday, Week 4 vs. the New York Jets:

    Broncos inactives

    1. QB Zach Wilson *
    2. WR Devaughn Vele
    3. RB Blake Watson
    4. CB Kris Abrams-Draine
    5. DB JL Skinner
    6. TE Lucas Krull
    7. DL Eyioma Uwazurike

The obvious talking point here is Vele being out, as he dominated training camp. He was a guy that would be seen as a legit weapon, but he's missed several games now. Rookie cornerback, who's also shown promise , Abrams-Draine is also out.

This is going to be a tough game. But, it's a very winnable game.
