The Minnesota Vikings are playing like they are the best team in the National Football League. They jumped out to a 28-0 lead on the Green Bay Packers in the second quarter after forcing two Jordan Love interceptions.

It's been a thorough domination by the Vikings at Lambeau Field and it has rendered the road crowd silent. In doing so, they accomplished something the Vikings had never done before.

Vikings take historic lead over Packers

The Vikings have won big at Lambeau Field before. They won here by a score of 24-10 last season and did one even better in 1998 with a 37-24 win powered by a breakout game from Hall of Famer Randy Moss. Those were the two games where the Vikings found themselves up by 20+ points over the Packers.

1998 was the biggest lead as they went up 27 points after Moss' second touchdown catch of the game. On Sunday, the Vikings set a team record by getting a 28 point lead in the second quarter.

It's also the biggest lead the Vikings have had this season, surpassing the 27-point lead they finished their week three win against the Houston Texans with.

The Vikings go into halftime up 28-7.
