Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Trey Smith literally pushed the Kansas City Chiefs to a win against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.

With the game tied at 10 in the fourth quarter, Chiefs running back Samaje Perine, a former Oklahoma Sooners standout, rushed for a two-yard touchdown for what proved to be the game-winning score in Kansas City's 17-10 win in Los Angeles.

Perine probably doesn't score without some help from Smith, who pushed the 29-year-old running back into the end zone after the play appeared to stall.

"Smith...he's a monster, he's outstanding," said CBS analyst Tony Romo while watching the replay of Smith pushing Perine over the goal line.

The former Vol is in the final season of his rookie contract with the Chiefs. And for now, it's unclear if Kansas City will be able to re-sign Smith, who could be one of the highest paid guards in the NFL if he hits the open market in March.

Plays like that, however, show why the Chiefs should do everything they can to make sure that Smith is back in Kansas City in 2025.
