Oregon Ducks' wide receiver gets another victory two days after his huge game

The Oregon Ducks won in lopsided fashion on Saturday night, and wide receiver Tez Johnson was a huge part of the reason why . After putting up a dominant two-touchdown performance and propelling the Ducks to their first ever Big Ten Conference victory, Johnson was awarded for his efforts.

Johnson racked up 11 receptions, 121 yards, and two touchdowns, earning him Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week honors.

On the short season, it's already Johnson's second Big Ten weekly honor. He was named Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week after taking a punt return for an 85-yard touchdown in Week 2 against Boise State.

Johnson is dynamic, and has solidified himself as the top receiving option for Dylan Gabriel in the Ducks passing attack .

Oregon is 4-0 but still doesn't feel like they've put together a complete outing. On one hand, it's concerning, but on another hand, it should be a confidence booster that a team can give basically a B- performance and still walk away with a 21-point victory on the road.

The offense seemed to take their foot off the gas after halftime, content to play conservative football, but there were still some key takeaways from the game that are very encouraging. Gabriel hasn't been sacked in ten quarters, the defense had another strong outing that head coach Dan Lanning referred to as their best performance of the year , and the offense has shown the ability to take any play for a touchdown.

There's still room for the Ducks to improve, but Johnson is leading the charge. He'll continue to be a cornerstone of this roster as they continue their first season in the Big Ten Conference.
