Latest trade rumor gives Omar Khan a chance to get back in the good graces of Steelers fans

The Pittsburgh Steelers were the talk of the summer as it related to the acquisition of WR Brandon Aiyuk.

Reportedly seconds away from the San Francisco 49ers shipping him to Pittsburgh, the trade fell through and Aiyuk stayed put in the Bay Area.

A trade that many wanted done, Omar Khan wouldn't sweeten the pot and while the Steelers are 3-1, it's very obvious that their only threat on the perimeter is WR George Pickens.

Well, there's a chance that could change:

    Raiders Shopping Davantae Adams

Adams, unlike Aiyuk, would be more of a short-term rental as opposed to a long-term option, but with the Steeler fielding one of the best defenses in the league and Justin Fields showing no signs of slowing down, acquiring another playmaker on the perimeter, especially one of Adams' pedigree would be a massive upgrade to the offense.

Adams missed last week with a hamstring issue , and that certainly didn't help the trade talks either. Fans and media made theories that maybe the Raiders were keeping him out and healthy so they could get the best end of a deal if one were to happen.

Then Antonio Pierce, the Raiders head coach, liked a photo on Instagram, which said that Adams would be getting traded. He has since unliked it, and Adams went on Up and Adams with Kay Adams on Tuesday, like he does every week, and looked pretty frustrated about it all.

It's been clear for some time that Adams has been frustrated with the team. The whole reason he joined the Las Vegas Raiders in the first place was to play with his college teammate and close friend Derek Carr, who was then released after one year together.

That led to frustrations last season and an obvious amount of drama heading into 2024. But one thing that has remained stable is Adams' play on the field. Adams has nearly 3,000 receiving yards and 23 TDS in just 37 games in Vegas.

And while he is set to turn 32 in December, his play has never been built on athleticism, and he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

So if the reports are true we'll see if Omar Khan can come through on his "due diligence" this time.
