NFL Pro Bowler continues odd obsession with the downfall of the Saints during 2024 season

I'm gonna be honest. In-season podcasts and professional athletes don't seem to mix very well. On a weekly basis, it feels like we are getting questionable statements from NFL players due to them.

This week, there was yet another moment from the St. Brown Podcast that will make New Orleans Saints fans raise an eyebrow. In fact, fans across the NFL would probably do that regarding this opinion from Detroit Lions star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Amon-Ra St. Brown trolls Saints again during Davante Adams trade talk

In a convo with his brother and Saints practice squad wideout, Equanimeous St. Brown, Amon-Ra said that he would feel bad if Adams gets traded to the Saints. He also says that he promises that Adams won't be going to New Orleans.

Some more pretty bold statements regarding the Saints from St. Brown. This isn't the first time he's made an enemy of fans of the black and gold, though.

After Week 2, Amon-Ra claimed that the Saints got lucky in their blowout win of the Dallas Cowboys. Getting lucky enough to beat a team by a score of 44-19 is quite the feat...

Not to mention, Amon-Ra had no issue disrespecting Derek Carr (directly) and Dennis Allen (indirectly) before this season began. Neither piece of the Saints puzzle impressed him when the two brothers discussed Equanimeous' new squad .

The younger brother was not a fan of the defense, past or present, in New Orleans, either. Wait until he finds out who his team's defensive coordinator used to coach, too.

For whatever reason, the Lions receiver and rising star in the receiving game in the league doesn't want to give the Saints any credit at any point. It's nothing that will affect the mindset of any players, but it's certainly oddly entertaining.

Jeff Nowak made a great point regarding the culture between the Lions and Saints, too.

The older brother of the two is not particularly worried about the doubt coming from the Lions wideout, though.

"We know about all the shit-talking going on about the Saints, from the springtime, everyone counting us out. We knew about all that. You counting us out."

Overall, St. Brown saying he would "feel bad" for Adams in a trade to New Orleans makes no sense, aside from a Saints angle, either.

The former All-Pro wide receiver has had rough quarterback play in Las Vegas since Derek Carr left. Reuniting with Carr on a more talented unit in New Orleans would instantly be an upgrade in skillset and situation for Adams. Those are just the facts.

Regardless, it does not seem like the Saints are held in high favor by the brother of one of their own players.
