Harrison Smith in rare company after sacking Aaron Rodgers in London, continues to make case for Hall of Fame

The Minnesota Vikings jumped out to a 17-point lead on the New York Jets in London, England, thanks to quarterback Aaron Rodgers's two interceptions in the first quarter. Brian Flores' defense has been wreaking havoc all game long, especially in terms of creating pressure.

Rodgers has struggled to figure out the Vikings' defense so far and even took a blindside sack from safety Harrison Smith. He's been doing that his entire career and that sack put him in rarified air.

Harrison Smith joins rare club loaded with Hall of Famers

With his sack on Aaron Rodgers, Smith is up to 20.5 sacks in his career. It also put him in an elite group of players, becoming the seventh player ever to have 30 interceptions and 20 sacks in his career.

It's an impressive group of players on that list with five of them having been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with safety Rodney Harrison who should be in as well. This makes it even more likely that Smith will one day be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

Even before reaching that elite group of players, Smith was well on his way. He is a six time Pro Bowler and a first-team All Pro in 2017 and second-team All Pro in 2018 with 35 interceptions, 12 forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, 45 tackles for loss, and 20.5 sacks in his career.

One day Smith will make it to Canton, but for now, we get to enjoy watching him with the Vikings.
