Browns’ Myles Garrett said the quiet part out loud after Cleveland suffered their third straight loss

Through five weeks of football, it is no secret that the Cleveland Browns have to be one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL.

The Washington Commanders handed the Browns a 34-13 loss and Cleveland now sits at 1-4 on the season .

Cleveland didn’t play well defensively either against the Commanders, though it is the offense that has really hampered the team. The Browns’ defense still isn’t on the level that it was last season. Following the game, defensive end Myles Garrett pointed out the obvious about the team.

I think there's more film on us and what we do, and it’s definitely used to their benefit,” explained Watson. “I also think we're not playing to the standard which we set last year (and) I think we've taken a step back up to this point. So, we have to find what we lost last year and then improve upon that. So we have to go back and soul search.”

Washington put up 434 yards of offense compared to 212 yards for the Browns. Washington sacked Deshaun Watson seven times and forced a turnover. Cleveland had three sacks, though none were from Garrett, who wasn’t really much of a factor in this one.

The season isn’t going to get any easier for the Browns. They are on the road next week to play the Philadelphia Eagles, then they will play the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland already got the ‘light’ part of their schedule out of the way and they didn’t take advantage of it and grab wins.

Cleveland is in a dangerous spot at 1-4 and their season very well could be over soon if it is not already.
