An NFL roster is never finalized, and the Cincinnati Bengals' group of 53 players continues to evolve this season as a new player is joining the team.

Per NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Bengals are signing offensive lineman Andrew Stueber off the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad.

Stueber, a former seventh-round pick from the 2022 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, spent his first year in the league in New England. He didn't play a single preseason or regular season game as a rookie as he spent most of the year on the Non-Football Injury list. He ended up playing in all three preseason games for the Pats in 2023 before being waived during final cuts. He was added to the practice squad and spent most of the season there. He was elevated for one regular season game.

New England waived Stueber back in June and was signed by Atlanta two days later. He spent training camp and the preseason with the Falcons, playing all three games, before being waived and added to the practice squad.

In six total preseason games, Stueber has played left tackle, right guard, and right tackle for two different teams. He now becomes the ninth offensive lineman for Cincinnati.

The Bengals were fortunate that right tackle Amarius Mims avoid major injury this past Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, but his scare did force the Bengals to utilize their depth along the line. Stueber, a former college starting right tackle for Michigan, gives them an extra body who can play multiple spots.

With Dax Hill destined for the Reserve/Injured list with a torn ACL , his roster spot will likely be taken by Stueber when it becomes official. The Bengals will probably make another move to properly replace Hill at the cornerback position.
