Jayden Daniels doesn't like what people are saying about him and Lamar Jackson

Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders are heading into the biggest matchup of the 2024 season as the team travels just down the road to take on Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

It's the biggest game of the week and it's easy to see why: The up-and-coming Commanders have caught the NFL by storm and have won their last four games, while the Super Bowl-contending Ravens have found their groove, winning their last three in a row.

Oh, yea, and the game features two of the NFL's most dynamic quarterbacks in Daniels and Jackson.

As with all NFL players, Daniels has been compared to Jackson both during the draft process and since the start of the season. It's been a rather large talking point, but it's also one Daniels doesn't like and he made that very clear when he spoke with reporters on Wednesday.

"Yeah, I think it's go out there and just appreciate each individual for who they are," Daniels said when asked if he dislikes the Jackson comparisons. "So, I don't like when people really like try to compare me to Lamar and vice-versa. We're two different players. Just go out there [and] appreciate the quarterbacks that are playing. So that's what I'll try to do, is just appreciate everybody for who they are...

"... At the end of the day, I want to be known as Jayden Daniels and not the next such and such."

Daniels has already carved out his own legacy through the first five games of his NFL career by setting multiple NFL records and doing things no player has ever done before. If he's able to help the Commanders beat the Ravens on Sunday then it's certainly safe to say he'll distance himself from Jackson, and all the other NFL QBs, even more.

"Those guys are who they are," said Daniels. "They're great players, and we need to respect them for who they are... I'm just trying to be the best version of myself."
