Good news on 49ers' final injury report for Week 6 game with Seahawks marred by two huge defensive concerns

The San Francisco 49ers got a raft of good news on their final injury report for Thursday's primetime clash with the Seattle Seahawks , with George Kittle, Fred Warner and Ji'Ayir Brown all off the injury report.

Yet they have two significant concerns on the defensive side of the ball for what the Niners are treating as a 'must-win' game in Seattle after falling to 2-3 with a shock home defeat to the Arizona Cardinals last week.

Tight end Kittle (ribs), linebacker Warner (ankle) and safety Brown (ankle) will all feature despite being listed as limited on Monday and Tuesday. Rookie wide receiver Jacob Cowing (shoulder) is set to return from a shoulder injury.

However, the 49ers will be without defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (knee), while All-Pro corner Charvarius Ward was listed as questionable with a knee injury.

    49ers injury report

OUT: DT Jordan Elliott (knee), LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf), S Talanoa Hufanga (wrist), K Jake Moody (ankle)

Questionable: WR Chris Conley (oblique) CB Charvarius Ward (knee)

Elliott's absence leaves the 49ers with just three healthy interior defensive lineman on the roster. San Francisco elevated T.Y. McGill from the practice squad last week and did the same with rookie Evan Anderson a week prior.

They will both be candidates to be elevated again for the primetime matchup and join Maliek Collins, Kevin Givens and Kalia Davis on the gameday depth chart.

Hufanga's injury leaves the Niners with only three healthy safeties. He was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, with tight end Brayden Willis promoted to the active roster.

Rookie Jaylen Mahoney could be elevated from the practice squad to fill the void on the depth chart left by Hufanga.

Second-team All-Pro Ward has endured a difficult start to the season and his status on the injury report this week suggests he was not fully healthy while giving up three catches for 67 yards against Arizona.

Under normal circumstances, he would potentially be set to shadow Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf having done so in this same game very successfully in each of the last two years.

Nursing an injury, however, that would appear to be a risky ploy on the part of the 49ers, who will likely give increased snaps to rookie Renardo Green if Ward is unable to play.

    Seahawks injury report

OUT: DT Byron Murphy II (hamstring), LB Uchenna Nwosu (thigh), CB Riq Woolen (ankle)

Questionable: LB Derick Hall (foot), S Julian Love (hamstring), LB Boye Mafe (knee)

Nwosu is headed to injured reserve and the Seahawks will again be without their top draft pick Murphy, who has not played since Week 3. That potentially makes life easier for the 49er offensive line, though edge rushers Hall and Mafe are each expected to play.

Quarterback Brock Purdy will be happy to have Woolen removed from the equation with an injury he suffered in the Seahawks' loss to the New York Giants last week. Rookie Nehemiah Pritchett is the favorite to step in for Woolen.

Love, who already has a forced fumble and an interception this season, is said to be a game-time decision. K'Von Wallace will likely replace him at free safety if Love is unable to play.
