The bye week is over, and Notre Dame football is back in action this week against the Stanford Cardinal . This is going to be a huge matchup for the Irish, not because Stanford is a good football team, but because their margin for error is so small. They need to take this season one game at a time, and that includes this Saturday.

Stanford hobbles into this game needing some added confidence. They view Notre Dame as a rival and you can bet that they will be ready to play. Here is how, and when to watch the matchup this weekend.

Where to watch, stream, and listen to Notre Dame vs. Stanford

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m., Oct. 12th; Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, Indiana

    Where to watch: NBC, Peacock

Here are the announcers for the Notre Dame-Stanford game:

    Dan Hicks (play-by-play)

    Jason Garrett (analysis)

    Zora Stephenson (sideline)

    Stream: YouTube TV, Peacock

    Radio: Locally on 960 WSBT-AM/101.5 WNSN-FM.

    Notre Dame’s 2024 schedule:

    • Aug. 31 – at Texas A&M (23-13 W)
    • Sept. 7 – Northern Illinois (16-14 L)
    • Sept. 14 – Purdue (66-7 W)
    • Sept. 21 – Miami (OH) (28-3 W)
    • Sept. 28 – Louisville (31-24 W)
    • Oct. 5 – Bye
    • Oct. 12 – Stanford
    • Oct. 19 – at Georgia Tech
    • Oct. 26 – Navy (neutral)
    • Nov. 2 – Bye
    • Nov. 9 – Florida State
    • Nov. 16 – Virginia
    • Nov. 23 – Army (neutral)
    • Nov. 30 – at USC

On offense, Notre Dame really needs a big day. Quarterback Riley Leonard needs to continue building confidence, as do the pass catchers on the team. You are facing a Stanford defense that is extremely poor in pass coverage, and this Irish team has to capitalize. You need to make a statement up front, continue your impact in the run game, and show you must be more balanced.

On defense, there’s no reason you shouldn’t dominate Stanford. If you stop Ashton Daniels in the quarterback run game, then they shouldn’t have a ton of a chance to move the football consistently. They are also a team that is liable for a couple of turnovers, and players like Xavier Watts and Benjamin Morrison must make them play.

If a school / team is so greedy it's games are only going to be shown on a streaming service so be it. They just lost me as a viewer/fan. and if the occasion comes up where their game is on network television I won't watch it cuz I'm not a fan anymore.
