The NFL is fining two Dallas Cowboys players ahead of Week 6 for actions committed in last weekend's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Most notably, the league is fining starting cornerback and fan favorite Jourdan Lewis $11,255 for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting).

Lewis was immersed in a battle with George Pickens throughout the entire game and at the end of it, both got involved in a brief exchange in which the Cowboys cornerback got in the face of Pickens, who retaliated by yanking Lewis' facemask sending the defender to the ground.

Lewis, who is finding a way to gain the hearts of fans by showing a unique edge to him, called Pickens "weak" on his way to the locker room postgame. The Steelers receiver was fined $10,230 for his part in the sequence.

The NFL also fined safety Donovan Wilson for a late hit in the fourth quarter, which will cost the starter $11,255. Repeat offenses for Wilson or Lewis would result in larger sums.

Every Saturday, the NFL is announcing its league-wide fines and amounts for penalties committed the previous week. The money collected by the league through player fines is "donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and the NFL Foundation to further support the health, safety and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game."
