The Chicago Bears big win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 5 is going to come with a little big of disappointment for one Bears veteran.

On Saturday, the league announced that they have fined Bears offensive lineman Matt Pryor $6,527 for an altercation with Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn late in the win.

Pryor was ejected from the game following the incident. It was hard to tell who started it, but the league laid a heavier punishment down on Horn. The Panthers cornerback was fined $11,817 and linebacker D.J. Johnson was fined $6,948. Horn was also ejected from the game.

Here's the incident in action. It looks like Johnson came up and shoved Pryor after he first pushed Horn in the end zone. But on closer inspection, it was Horn who threw the first hit on backup left guard Bill Murray . Easy to see why he got the higher fine.

After Sunday's win, head coach Matt Eberflus addressed the ejection immediately and shared his message to Pryor after his ejection.

"He knows he can't do that," Eberflus said . "Obviously we got to keep our our water temperature lukewarm to hot, but not boiling. Sometimes that happens in the game. It's a physical game, and sometimes that dial starts to get turned up, and you got to be able to have self control and turn it down, and that's all it is. It's not that big of a deal. But he knows that he's got to be better than that in that particular moment with that."

Luckily the altercation occurred following a Roschon Johnson touchdown in the fourth quarter. The penalties obviously were offsetting and after the score, the Bears attempted a two-point conversion try that ended with an incomplete pass.

After Pryor was ejected, he was replaced by right guard Nate Davis for the final drive of the game, which was just three kneel downs to end the game.

Going forward, you'd like to see the players be able to control their emotions on the field, especially after the play. However, with the game so out of reach, it's easy to see why some of the Panthers defenders were so frustrated.
