The Green Bay Packers have had a sequence of positive pieces of news ahead of the matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals in week 6. Christian Watson, Jaire Alexander, and Rasheed Walker are all active for the game.

Wide receiver Christian Watson is back from his ankle injury after missing just one game. The offensive weapon suffered a medial ankle sprain against the Minnesota Vikings two weeks ago, but he practiced all week and is good to go. It's not clear if he will have a normal workload, however the fact that he is active is already a positive development.

Left tackle Rasheed Walker surprisingly appeared on the injury report on Friday because of a knee issue, but he is healthy and will play against the Arizona Cardinals.

Walker took over as the starter after David Bakhtiari couldn't play anymore in 2023 because of a knee injury. Since then, the left tackle hasn't missed any games.

Green Bay's depth options include second-year developmental player Kadeem Telfort, while Andre Dillard is a healthy scratch. They could also move left guard Elgton Jenkins or right tackle Zach Tom, but that would demand more changes along the offensive line.

    Defensive reinforcement

The Packers will also have their star cornerback back from injury. All-Pro player Jaire Alexander is officially active, despite being listed as questionable with the groin injury that made him miss two games, against the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.

The Packers did not elevate any cornerbacks from the practice squad for gameday, which was already an indication that Alexander would play. Therefore, the active players at the position are Jaire, Eric Stokes, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine, and Corey Ballentine. Javon Bullard played in the slot last week as well, so he's another option to give them depth.

Alexander has also had a quad injury earlier this season that didn't make him miss any games.

    Other positive pieces of news

First-round rookie Jordan Morgan is back as well. The offensive lineman recovered from a shoulder injury he suffered in week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts and is active to face the Cardinals. Earlier this week, offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said that the plan is to eventually go back to the right guard rotation between Sean Rhyan and Morgan, but it's unclear if it will immediately happen. Edge defender Arron Mosby was questionable with a shoulder injury, but he is good to go.
