Former Oklahoma Sooners' stud who transferred out is doing exactly what his former team needs

Of course, the Oklahoma Sooners ' biggest issue isn't their run game. But, it's something that needs to be way better than what it has been. Their issues are the offense in general, which in addition to the injuries they have on that side of the ball, and the play calling and scheme have made this offense a nightmare to watch.

With the scheme being as bad as it is, the wide receivers aren't creating much space and the run game really isn't working. The Sooners had some good runs against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, but overall, it was stifled when they needed it most. That has been another one of their biggest issues this season -- creating a good, cohesive run game against good defenses.

It's not the biggest issue, or even second on the list, but it's an issue for sure, and it needs to be improved.

But, it will only look a bit worse when you look at what one former running back is doing that transferred out after last year, it may make the Sooners look a little bit worse.

Tawee Walker, who played for the Sooners in 2022 and 2023 , transferred to the Wisconsin Badgers this last offseason, and it's paying dividends for him already. Last game alone he had a great game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights -- a game the Sooners could have really used.

Waker had a huge part in the Badgers' 42-7 win over Rutgers, posting 198 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, where he has now had two straight games with three touchdowns.

When he was at Oklahoma last season, he posted a little over 500 rushing yards on 101 carries with seven touchdowns. He has already almost eclipsed that in fewer carries, as he has 439 rush yards on 82 carries with nine rushing touchdowns.

The Sooners could really use what he's bringing to the game right now.

Loved Walker last year cuz he's as powerful as Perine but of course the offensive coordinator didn't let him play much cuz of some dispute. Hated hearing he left cuz he was the best running back we had. Way to go Sooners
