Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce is thinking the same thing every fan is thinking after loss to Steelers

The Las Vegas Raiders are now 2-4 on the year, and, it's starting to really look like this team is tanking for a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft. Based on the type of play we are seeing, that's what they should be doing. This team is not good, and very obviously will not make the postseason, so there is no reason to not tank.

They have not shown any reason through six games that they would be able to compete at the highest level, outside of their big-time win over the Baltimore Ravens. They beat a bad Cleveland Browns team that was beaten up and lost to the worst team in football the Carolina Panthers.

The only thing positive about this team was the defense, and even against the Pittsburgh Steelers they were poor, as they gave up over 30 points to a team who hadn't scored more than 27 all year long. The Steelers are a good team, and the Raiders are dealing with so many injuries, but the team dressed in silver and black just did not deserve to win on Sunday.

That's what the entire fan base is feeling, and that's what the team feels, too.

"The turnover thing is embarrassing...we don't deserve a chance to put ourselves in a position to win," Antonio Pierce said after the loss to the Steelers.

The turnovers were the instant killer in this game, and you can add the penalties to that as well. Once the Raiders started turning the ball over the way they were with the field position they were in, you could already chalk it up as a loss.

Then, the penalties made it all even worse, as there were a few big-time plays that were negated by penalties. The Raiders did not deserve to win the game, and the tape will show it, too. A lot of that has to do with the coaching, though, as they just didn't look prepared at all outside of the first offensive and defensive drives.
