The vibes were tremendous in Knoxville this past Saturday night for the Tennessee Vols' big rivalry game win against the Florida Gators.

Florida put up a heck of a fight against the Vols, but Tennessee was ultimately able to escape with a 23-17 overtime win. It's the Vols' second win against Florida in the last three seasons (something that hadn't been done at UT in 20 years).

2026 four-star wide receiver Tristen Keys was in Neyland Stadium for the win against the Gators. He recapped his visit to On3 and he wasn't shy about praising the raucous crowd.

“The atmosphere was my favorite part," said Keys. "It was the loudest stadium I have ever been in. I couldn’t hear anything but the fans and it’s great just knowing you have a great supportive fan base at Tennessee. Even when things weren’t going their way they still made sure they were loud and supportive. That’s the type of fan base I would want to have.”

Keys, 6-foot-2/175 lbs from Hattiesburg, MS, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi. He's also rated as the No. 23 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, and Ole Miss are also in the mix for Keys.

This recruiting battle still has a ways to go before it reaches its conclusion, but one thing working in Tennessee's favor is the fact that Keys is close with 2026 five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, who is a Vols commit (Brandon was also in Knoxville for the Florida game). That relationship could ultimately propel Tennessee to the top of this recruiting battle.
