Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is taking some heat for his sideline moment where he yelled back at Philly fans as the clock winded down in the fourth quarter to victory over the Cleveland Browns.

While some fans are giving him a hard time, Eagles' veteran defensive end Brandon Graham is sticking up for him.

Graham, who logged his 200th career game as an Eagle on Sunday, was next to Sirianni when he started yelling and couldn't help but laugh.

While he claimed he didn't know exactly what Sirianni said, he admitted he was one of the guys that told coach to get back to his 2022 self.

“I just told him to be him,” Graham said post-game. “I need him to be 2022 Nick, so we can get there. Because we just want people to be themselves. At the end of the day, coach has been taking a bunch of heat, and I understand he’s got a lot of stuff on him. We got his back, because Philly can be hard, I know all about it.

“I always said (his critics) are going to eat the words that they say. And so I know that's what Nick is probably saying too, and every chance that he gets. … I don't know what he said but I know it had something to do with that.”

Sirianni told reporters that he was just "having fun" during that moment and that he had received feedback from more than just Graham over the bye week saying they wanted his old energy back.

“When I'm operating, having fun, I think that that breeds to the rest of the football team," Sirianni said. "If I want the guys to celebrate and be themselves after big plays, then I should probably do that myself, right? There are times for that and times that are not for that. I have to have wisdom and discernment of when to do that and when not to do that.”

Perhaps yelling back at your own fans after barely beating the 1-5 Browns was bad timing.
