It was expected that Oregon's game against Ohio State was going to impact recruiting in some way, no matter the outcome. With the 32-31 win over the Buckeyes that has seen Oregon jump to No. 2 in the AP Poll, the recruiting wins are starting to trickle in.

Oregon landed a commitment from 2026 4-star DL Tomuhini Topui from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA, continuing their strong connection with one of the most elite high school teams in the country. Topui, as a junior in high school, is already 6'3" 325 lbs. He provides serious mass up front on the defense.

That's not the only move that has come from Oregon's big win. Adding to the 2026 DL class, Oregon secured a commitment flip from USC in Viliami Moala, a 3-star recruit. Oregon is bolstering their trenches, something that will continue to serve them well in the Big Ten.

That brings three defensive linemen into the picture for the early 2026 recruiting class, to go along with 4-star recruit Tony Cumberland, who committed last month. Signing day for these recruits is still a long ways off, but Oregon is currently sitting on the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, with the defensive line being a massive strength.

Oregon is continuing their run of good fortune coming off a stunning victory over Ohio State that announced to the entire country that they are a powerhouse deserving of respect. Undeniably there will be more recruiting news to come from this weekend.

The No. 1 remaining prospect in the 2025 class, DL Jahkeem Stewart , was in attendance on Saturday fresh off reclassifying from 2026. He'll likely be patient and take his time with the other top visits he has, such as Ohio State, LSU, and USC, but Saturday's win could end up playing a huge role in his decision. Oregon has a chance to build one of the nastiest defensive lines in college football if they can land Stewart.
