The Detroit Lions suffered a big loss on Sunday when Aidan Hutchinson went down with a broken tibia. It's the biggest loss this Lions defense could have suffered. The minds of Lions fans immediately rushed to the trade block for someone, preferably someone really good, to come in and help fix this.

That's not necessarily where the Lions minds are headed right now. Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke on Monday afternoon and talked about how the Lions have a lot of confidence in what they currently have with their defensive line and that the Lions aren't looking to do anything crazy right away.

"Brad is like always, this comes up every year, and it's not like he doesn't look, you know what I mean. So I know that. So he's doing what he's been doing. He's looking, is there somebody out there that could potentially help us? What is it going to cost? You know, and so those things will always come up. But just because that's there, it doesn't mean we're going to do it, and it's got to be right. If it is, everything's got to be right. And honestly, where we're at now, we're not in a hurry. I mean, I believe in the guys that are here. I believe in that D line, and doesn't mean we're not looking, we're not evaluating. Brad is, that's his job, and he's good at it, and we'll take it as it comes. But our eyes are open, and we want to make sure that we have what we need here."

Campbell put a lot of emphasis on his trust for Aaron Glenn and his trust for the defensive line and he's probably right to do that. There has been some guys that have gotten better and better every week. Josh Paschal is getting better all the time and is about to have a huge role, Levi Onwuzurkie and Mekhi Wingo are too. Then the Lions have a super strong duo on the inside with DJ Reader and Alim McNeill.

There's also some other guys that are rising up to the point where the Lions might be able  to manufacture, to a degree, what the Lions got with Hutchinson through committee. Guys like rookie Isaac Ukwu, Trevor Nowaske, Al-Quadin Mahammed and Mitchell Agude can all come in and help out in some way.

Does this mean the Lions won't do anything? I wouldn't say so. Like Campbell, said, they're looking. But I wouldn't expect anything right away. It sure seems like this is the group the Lions are heading into Minnesota with. Let's see how they can come together in the big moment.
