Kyren Lacy makes his mark as LSU's next great wide receiver with epic moment vs. Ole Miss

The LSU Tigers are in the running to be Wide Receiver U. Over the last decade-plus, the Tigers have had 10 first-round picks, including two of the best wide receivers in the National Football League in Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase.

This past April, the Tigers had two wide receivers selected in the first round of the NFL Draft with Malik Nabers going to the New York Giants at sixth overall and Brian Thomas Jr. to the Jacksonville Jaguars at 23rd overall.

The next guy up could be Kyren Lacy who has had himself an excellent season with the Tigers.

Kyren Lacy calls his shot to beat Ole Miss

In the final play against Ole Miss, Lacy was on the sidelines telling anyone who would listen to give him a one-on-one against 28 (Jadon Canady). Well, he got his wish and properly called his shot.

Lacy got the exact look he wanted. He was to the field side and beat Canady with a double move. He's been the most targeted receiver for the Tigers this season.

With 56 targets (13 more than second-place Mason Taylor), Lacy hasn't been able to be efficient with just 30 receptions for a team-high 463 yards and six touchdowns. Whenever quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has needed a big play, Lacy has been his target and it's been a connection crucial to their success so far this season.

Lacy didn't have a lot of production last season due to some drop issues and having two first-round picks in front of him. This year, he's become the number-one receiver and has significantly helped his draft stock.

If Lacy has a few more plays like this, he will go down in LSU history as one of their best.
