There’s no way around it. Aaron Rodgers is the greatest Hail Mary thrower in the history of football. He successfully did it again on Monday, right at the end of first half. It’s his first one with the New York Jets .

The Jets were losing to the Buffalo Bills 20-10, the Jets were at the 48-yard line on the defensive side of the field. But even though Rodgers is close to his 41st birthday, the legendary quarterback proved he can still deliver a killer Hail Mary.

Against a soft two-man rush from the Bills, Rodgers had time to move in the pocket, waiting for his targets to reach the end zone. Then, the quarterback threw a 52-yard bomb that found Allen Lazard. The initial impression was that the receiver had dropped, but he had enough control for the referees to confirm the catch, putting the Jets on the game again — it went to halftime with the Bills leading 20-17.

This was Aaron Rodgers fourth successful Hail Mary throw in the NFL. He had three for the Green Bay Packers — two of them in 2015, against the Detroit Lions (to Richard Rodgers) and in the playoffs against the Arizona Cardinals (to Jeff Janis). In 2016, he did it again in the postseason, versus the New York Giants (to Randall Cobb).

His success is so impressive that even Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went on social media to praise the veteran.

Aaron Rodgers might be older now, but he is still the best at Hail Marys, and it doesn’t seem like it’s changing any time soon.
