The Alabama Crimson Tide has a superstar at WR via Ryan Williams, that much is certain.

But beyond his stardom, there have been more questions than answers at the pass-catching positions thus far at the Capstone.

Well, after a promising outing from Germie Bernard, OC Nick Sheridan is bullish on what the Tide will show against Tennessee.

More impact to come from WR group

"I’ve appreciated the efforts of the guys, in playing multiple spots and having to learn different positions, Sheridan said of the WR corps on Monday. "I think coach [WR Coach JaMarcus Shepard] Shep has done a great job with that. I think you’ve seen Caleb Odom just continuing to grow and learn multiple spots, playing different positions on the field. Cole [Adams] obviously had some big plays in the game. And so, with just the rotation of players that are up this week, obviously Ryan [Williams] and Germ[ie Bernard] have been steady and productive for us, but I think the depth of that room has certainly helped us. E-man [Emmanuel Henderson] has had some good moments. I know there’s other guys too that I’m probably leaving out, but I think it’s a deep room and they’re improving each and every week, and coach Shep’s doing a great job of mentoring, molding, coaching, all of the above. And I think those guys have contributed and coached us for sure."

For Alabama and more specifically WR Ryan Williams, the rest of the SEC might be catching on to how dominant he is. Since his national breakout against the Georgia Bulldogs , if you take out the miraculous up ball he caught against Vanderbilt, Williams has seven receptions for 56 yards and no TDs in the last two weeks.

So it's clear that he needs help. Teams are going to continue to double team and shade safeties to his side unless and until players like Gemie Bernard can continue to go for over 20 yards a catch and score TDs.

If Bernard or one of the other aforementioned WRs can continue that and soften the attention on Ryan Williams, the Tide should reign victorious against the Tennessee Volunteers .
