The Kansas City Chiefs have had plenty of highlight reel plays since Andy Reid became their head coach back in 2013.

Reid is one of the most innovative play designers in NFL history. He has a knack for getting the most out of his player's talents in a productive and fun way. His play calls are also famous for having unique names such as "Corndog," "Snow Globe" and "Rose Bowl Right Parade."

Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy has been by Reid's side for many of those plays. Nagy has worked under Reid in various roles dating all the way back to their time together with the Philadelphia Eagles. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter had Nagy as a guest on his podcast on Wednesday, and the iconic touchdown pass from former Chiefs defensive lineman Dontari Poe came up.

Nagy pulled back the curtain on the play with Schefter.

"I would say this was, this was years ago, if you can remember Dontari Poe, when he had a couple games where he was catching touchdowns and running them in." Nagy said on the Adam Schefter Podcast. "And then he had the the one against the Denver Broncos, I want to say maybe in 2015. We practiced it for about 10 weeks, where he went back in the shotgun and it was at the two-yard line, and he lifts his knee like a silent count. He does the clap with his hands, and then he acts like he's going to run a dive from the gun and throws the ball. And so, that was famous from Tim Tebow with the (Florida) Gators, always running that at Florida. So, we decided to give it the name of the 'Bloated Tebow Pass'. And so, we practiced the 'Bloated Tebow Pass' for many years, and you never know, because I'll tell you this, Adam, when we put it in and we practiced it for the first time, it didn't look like what it looked like against Denver. It was pretty awful. But to Dontari's credit, we made it Look good. And he did it. He did it and he executed it great."

The play actually occurred during a Christmas night game in 2016. The Chiefs had the game well in hand with not much time remaining, making it a perfect time to experiment and have some fun. The Broncos bit hard when Poe took a couple of steps forward as if he was going to run the ball, then he threw a perfect jump pass to former tight end Demetrius Harris in the back of the endzone.

Before the Chiefs ran that play, Poe had lined up at fullback several times over the years, paving the way as a blocker for K.C. running backs. They later finally handed the ball to Poe from the 1-yard line and he scored a rushing touchdown on what would be dubbed "Hungry Pig Right." Shorty after that, Poe lined up as a wide receiver and caught a 1-yard touchdown pass.

All of that led to the "Bloated Tebow Pass," which has been talked about and shown in highlights ever since. There's no doubt that the Chiefs have more creative plays stashed away for sometime down the line. Perhaps linebacker Leo Chenal will be the next defensive player to score a touchdown as he has lined up on offense near the goal line a few times this season.
