The 2024 college football season has been wild so far. We enter week eight with a bunch more intriguing games on the docket, which means there should be a lot more entertaining matchups. That should allow for some betting opportunities, with a lot of chances to make some money.

Here are the best bets of the week in college football. As always, let’s make some money, friends.

    (2) Oregon at Purdue - over 60.5 total points

Purdue just dropped 49 points against a talented Illinois defense last week in a loss. Could we see a similar performance this week? Even if it’s not prolific, Oregon is set up for a big letdown game. They aren’t on upset alert, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see Ryan Browne and this Purdue offense score some points. You also know that the Purdue defense is really, really poor. Oregon will be able to score like every other game. That makes for a higher scoring affair.

Auburn at (19) Missouri - under 51.5 total points

So far this season, Auburn has been a bit of a dumpster fire, but that has a lot more to do with their offense. The Tigers do have a lot of very talented defensive players, especially defensive lineman Keldric Faulk . They have a good chance to slow down a Missouri offense that has been underwhelming the last several weeks. Couple that with the aforementioned abysmal Auburn offense, and you have a chance for a lower scoring game.

Arizona State at Cincinnati - Sun Devils +3.5

Arizona State has quietly been playing some very good football this season, which has been a little surprising. They’re on the road taking on the Bearcats, but Cincinnati has been very up and down. Their quarterback Brendan Sorsby is a really good player, but Arizona State is just a better football player right now. The Sun Devils are going to be starting Jeff Sims at quarterback, which is a big reason for the spread being where it is. Even with Sims, the overall team talent should outlast.
