Oklahoma Sooners' key player makes a commitment the fans need to hear

The Oklahoma Sooners need to get it together quickly. Their offense isn't good at the moment. In fact, it's not anywhere near close to good; it's one of the worst in college football, not just in the Power Four conferences.

Luckily, they have a few easier games coming up before they get into two powerhouse schools: the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers . They play the South Carolina Gamecocks next, followed by the Ole Miss Rebels and then the Maine Black Bears.

Some of these games are ones they could use to get right, like maybe South Carolina, which admittedly has played well the last few games but has found ways to lose, and Maine, which is an FCS team. Ole Miss, well, they are a good team but just lost to another good team, the LSU Tigers.

With the Gamecocks not having the best defense and Maine being, well, Maine, the Sooners can use the next three weeks to find better footing within their offensive system. That's all this fanbase wants -- the offense to be better. It doesn't even have to be an amazing one, an average one will be fine, more than fine, actually.

One Sooners' key player is promising that it will get there, soon.

"Obviously it isn't sunshine and rainbows right now, but everyone knows what it is that we need to work on. It's a lot of positivity. I mean, guys are all coming together. It's good. We are going to get this thing figured out," center Troy Everett said.

As sad as it is to say, I don't think that the offense will get figured out, respectfully. This is a scheme issue, not an issue with the players or injuries. This is simply the play caller calling bad plays, the scheme not getting guys open, as well as the running scheme not fitting this personnel.

So, while the media and the fans appreciate him saying it's going to happen, I'm not sure there are many who believe it.
